Salih set for busy race programme with four races in four weeks

Salih Yoluc kicks off a marathon race programme this coming weekend (16 – 18 November) as he seeks his first victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the 6 Hours of Shanghai with TF Sport.

Following that is another three race weekends of action in China, Bahrain and Japan starting with his debut in the Asian Le Mans Series with United Autosports. Next up is the GT Nations Cup in Bahrain before round two of the Asian Le Mans Series at Fuji.

“It’s going to be a busy few weeks for me, but I’m looking forward to it,” said Salih. “In WEC we have finished second three times already this year, so we are really looking to try and get on the top step in Shanghai. It will be my first time there, but we have a strong team in TF Sport, so we will get plenty of laps in practice to be ready for qualifying and then the race.”

The next stop on the tour is the 4H of Shanghai in the Asian Le Mans Series. Salih had planned on competing in the LMP3 class with United Autosports, but will now instead be making his debut in the LMP2 Ligier before traveling to the FIA Nations Cup in Bahrain and then back to Japan.

“I’ve never driven the LMP2 car, but I have always wanted to, so this is an exciting opportunity for me,” Salih said. “I hope that we carry good results from weekend to weekend and I am then looking forward to representing Turkey at the Nations Cup in the Mercedes GT3.

“Then I’m back in the LMP2 at Fuji, before I take the weekend off in mid-December to maybe watch the Gulf 12 Hours on TV!”
